Non-Toxic Toy Brands We Love

Holiday season is here! Which means that you’re probably reviving up to start your gift planning (if you haven’t started already). So, I thought this might be a fitting time to share some non-toxic baby and toddler toy brands we’ve come to love:

We currently don’t own any of the following brands, but I have read wonderful things about them, and will most likely be purchasing them for my little ones at some point (maybe this Christmas):

Obviously, I’m not an expert here, but I do a decent amount of research, so I was happy to read and cross reference Gimme The Good Stuff’s Guide to Non-Toxic Toys and find many of our favorite brands on Maia’s list as well!

I’m not going to sit here and pretend like we only own non-toxic toys – our play room is unfortunately overly populated with the common plastic toys made in China, from mainstream brands like Fisher-Price, Little Tikes, Leap Frog, etc. Most of these were gifts, so it’s a difficult situation to avoid. And as thankful as we are for receiving so many thoughtful gifts, I sometimes can’t help but cringe when I see the over-abundance of potentially harmful plastic surrounding us.

However, you can help alleviate the matter but controlling which toys you decide to purchase for your little ones. That’s why I try my hardest to avoid as much plastic as possible and purchase as many wooden/non-toxic toys as I can.

It still boggles my mind that we have to search long and hard to find safe, non-toxic products for our children! You’d think it would just be a given that everything would be safe for their little growing bodies. Sadly this is not the case. If you too are concerned about limiting your kids exposure to potentially harmful toys and are looking for safe toys to buy for your little darlings, I hope you’ve found some of these suggestions helpful.

Have a very happy Thanksgiving surrounded by those you love most in this world!
